¶ C01
Note on the Texts
Purpose. This appendix reproduces the text of the statutory provisions on which the treatise most often relies, so that the reader can see the words the chapters construe. It reproduces operative provisions only, without annotations, and it is no substitute for the official code: every provision must be checked against the current official text before it is relied upon.
Sources and currency. Each text was taken in November 2026 from the official source named in the note that introduces it, and the note states how current that source is. Where no official text was available the appendix says so and does not reproduce an unofficial compilation.

Conventions. Subsection lettering, spelling and punctuation follow the source, including evident printing errors, which are marked [sic]. Editorial notes appear in square brackets. Swiss texts are unofficial English translations published by the Swiss federal government; only the German, French and Italian texts have legal force.
The Uniform Voidable Transactions Act. The uniform act is reproduced as enacted in Washington, whose text follows the 2014 uniform text closely. Washington departs from it in four respects: it omits the exclusion of tenancy-by-the-entireties property from "asset" (Washington has no tenancy by the entirety); it adds a definition of "reasonably equivalent value," Wash. Rev. Code § 19.40.011(13); its good-faith transferee defense in § 19.40.081(1) applies also to transfers voidable under § 19.40.051(1) and protects value given "whether or not given to the debtor"; and § 19.40.081(2)(a) retains a cross-reference that the Code Reviser notes was intended to refer to subsection (3). Sections 2, 4, 5, 7, 9 and 10 are substantively identical to the uniform text.
